Custom Glass‑Lined Thermowell
The custom glass-lined thermowell is designed to match your actual operating conditions, process requirements, and equipment structure. Different thermowell designs can be developed to meet specific application needs, giving you more flexibility when standard configurations do not fully fit the process.
This design uses a larger upper section and a narrower lower extension, allowing the custom glass-lined thermowell to be made longer than the standard maximum length for a thermowell of the same diameter. Because the extended lower section has a smaller diameter, it is subjected to less impact from the process media and does not significantly affect the overall load-bearing performance of the thermowell. The narrower lower section also helps transfer heat more quickly inside the thermowell, which supports more accurate temperature indication.
The finned custom glass-lined thermowell adds multiple secondary tubes on the main tube, angled upward or downward, to provide a baffle effect inside the reactor. This structure uses a special installation method. The thermowell must be installed upward from inside the vessel and then fixed and sealed with a sleeve stuffing box. Because installation is more complex, the finned custom glass-lined thermowell is generally suitable for atmospheric pressure or slight positive pressure conditions inside the reactor.
The multifunctional custom glass-lined thermowell is designed with one or more feeding ports and a tantalum temperature sensing pin on a single thermowell. This design allows one component to serve multiple functions, including feeding, discharge, temperature measurement, and baffle action. The multifunctional custom glass-lined thermowell is especially suitable for reactors where the number of available process nozzles is limited.
